@lis437 this is the sharpest assessments of our political landscape i’ve read in a while. obama is indeed a major disappointment. all this “bipartisanship” over HC and financial reform only to have the repubs water everything down and then NOT vote for it anyway seems like nothing more than a smokescreen to give corporations & banks what they want and be able to pass the buck later. the US isn’t for progressives or a democracy anymore. we’re a slave state going through the motions.
